Do you use a database backup plugin or something else?

I used to use WP-DB-Backup a while ago for backing up my WordPress site, it worked fine. But, the plugin hasn’t been updated in like 2 years (although it says compatible with up to 2.9.2). Does 3.0 do anything different that would mess with the plugin?

If you don’t use a plugin, do you use a Cron Job or something similar?

I just do manual backups using the backup wizard in my cpanel. The wizard backs up all of my sites at once. I have tried using plugins but they seem to time out or crash a lot with large sites. One day I hope to write a shell script to backup my sites and emailnthem to a dedicated gmail account, but for now it’s manual all the way for me.
