Design feedback and suggestions for Scifi Novel website

Hello all,

I’m working on a site for a client – the test site is up at http://mantisforce.firstprincipleswebdesign.com/

The client is an author who has written a Scifi Epic Saga. I’m working to add design elements to make the whole site feel like this world he’s created. Some of the elements are pretty bare atm and I think there should be textures and images I can use throughout the site to tie it together with a spacelike feel.

I’m open to feedback and any constructive thoughts are welcome.

Hey Josiahmann,

I like the initial look of website. I think that some of the features feel a little large. At first glance everything feels in your face but that might be what you were going for. I especially like the fixed background. I think it is nice when site use that feature.
