Buttons and links not working in certain DIVs

  • # April 11, 2013 at 5:33 am

    Hi all,

    This is my first post here. It’s been a while since I’ve been working on CSS stuff.

    I’ve searched the web but couldn’t find a solution, but I’m sure this is an easy one!

    I have a CSS sprite button which isn’t clickable inside my header DIV, but if I put the exact same button in my content DIV it works fine. The same goes for any links.

    You can see it live here
    [http://www.garrymccarthy.com/test/](
    http://www.garrymccarthy.com/test/ “http://www.garrymccarthy.com/test/”)

    This is my HTML:
    http://www.garrymccarthy.com/test/index.html

    This is my CSS:
    http://www.garrymccarthy.com/test/style.css

    I presume some CSS attribute is being inherited to cause the links and buttons to be inactive… Any idea which one is doing this?

    Thanks guys.

    Remove `position:relative` from .wrap.

    I see that you have

    position:relative;
    top:0;
    left:0;

    on a lot of classes…you can remove that…it’s doing anything.

    That worked, thanks a mill :)
    I would have never have thought that would have caused the issue!
