Help, no mater what I do I can’t seem to get a simple bootstrap toggle button working in Codepen.

I am linking to the cdnjs repository of bootstrap.js as recommended.
I have this working perfectly on a standalone html file with all the same includes.
Either I am doing something stupid or Codepen doesn’t like bootstrap.js
