HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP, C++, Dart \u2014 there are so many programming languages out there and you may even be totally fluent in several of them! But as we aim to write more and better code, the way we write and communicate in everyday language becomes more and more important\u2026 and perhaps even overlooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The way we write about and around code is arguably as important as the code itself. And despite where you fall on that line, we can all agree that our words have the potential to both help and hurt code’s effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article, I want to outline how these two seemingly distinct fields \u2014 programming and writing \u2014 can come together and take our developer skills to the next level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Wait, technical writing? Yes, that’s exactly what I mean. I truly believe we are all writers in one sense or another. And I’m here to give you a primer with writing tips, advice, and examples for how it can make you both a better developer and communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
