My favorite bit of Jeremy Keith’s recent article is the third and fourth sentences:
I just can’t get excited about the prospect of building something for any particular operating system, be it desktop or mobile. I think about the potential lifespan of what would be built and end up asking myself “why bother?”
The web fits my personality in that way, too. I like working on long term projects. Plugging away at making things better and finding success through time and sheer attrition.
