I'd like to emphasize as we get started in this course why SVG is so compelling to use. Perhaps the most compelling reason to designers: they look amazing. Visually very sharp. Vector (The "V" in "SVG") is always that way. SVG is drawn from mathematically declared shapes and curves and such, so pixels are no limitation.

Bonus: really sharp images are good for people with vision impairments.
