We're almost done with the homepage navigation, but there is some weird space below our slider and above the navigation itself. We dig into finding out why.

For those of you who like to watch exact solutions, this isn't for you. We struggle with figuring it for quite a while, showing off troubleshooting steps along the way. We ultimately figure out the specific CSS reason why things are the way they are, but the values are being all set with JavaScript, meaning it's our plugin we need to adjust. Fortunately, a simple setting change gets us right where we need to be.

Posting Code

We highly encourage you to post problematic HTML/CSS/JavaScript over on CodePen and include the link in your post. It's much easier to see, understand, and help with when you do that.

Markdown is supported, so you can write inline code like `<div>this</div>` or multiline blocks of code in triple backtick fences like this:

  function example() {
    element.innerHTML = "<div>code</div>";

We have a pretty good* newsletter.
