    Magic ‘downstairsdev’

    using the foreach statement i was able to echo out all the custom fields with the name ‘featured’.

    Here is the code that got it working:

    Code:
    < ?php $featured = get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘featured’, false);
    //echo “

    "; print_r($featured); echo "

    “;
    if ($featured) {
    foreach ($featured as $image) {
    echo ““;
    }
    }
    ?>

    Hey Eamonn,
    What you have suggested has work. But not for all images with an anchor link

    I have the sidebar images working because i put an empty div in which had a background to it and then just faded the image that was on top of it down on the hover.

    But when i try the same on my main content images they are floating to the left. So i thought by floating them to the right all my problems would be solved. Well not really as they seem to now overlap one another and not respecting the margins given to them. EEk!!!

    Any ideas?

    If i reduce the opacity will this show the blue tint that i want?

    Say if i put the blue as a background then on the hover state i reduce the opacity of the image. Will the blue show through?

    I figured it out, by accident by still it works.

    I used the same template setup i had for calling the video’s and changed the showposts amount to just one so it always loads the newest video. Not bad hey :)

    I did get stumped when it came to showing the sidebar on the pages i wanted as i have a php statement which was looking only at if it was the video home page and the video category i was extracting the videos from. What i had to do was change the names around for the pages i wanted the videos to appear on except the third page had to be the slug. Not sure why it wouldn’t work just by calling the name. But hey its working.

    I will post the site once it has launched. And with approval of the clients.

    Cheers everyone

    Its something similar to the wp-coda slider theme.

    Where you can have navigation links in the header which link to their page, but use the slider effect to load into view. Then have page templates to show the information, like a photo gallery or something like this.

    I’ve tried going through the wp-coda theme and understand how the code is put together but im not very good, and its going to take ages to get what i want.

    Still going to look through it though.

    I like the idea of the pages being on one page. maybe add a back to top button in the footer so people don’t have to scroll back up again. Also maybe a little rollover action on the price list. When they rollover you could have a jquery window pop up which has the information on that particular price. Maybe the rollover effect could be a pencil circle as if this is the one they have outlined?!

    Also the background image is nice but too repetitive. Maybe paint out the repetitive mark, which is the slightly darker part of the image.

    Its looking good tho matey

    Just in case any of you were thinking how to solve the problem as well

    I managed to figure it out. It was as simple as putting in a double break and then it snapped into position

    Cool

    Good replies,

    Ok i got the domain name set now and i’ve thrown up an email list for poeple to just sign up if there interested. You can subscribe or unsubscribe yourself easy.

    I was thinking about adding the information for the links around this form as i quite like the layout of it. I think the previous design was a little bold where as this is sublte, i just need to work out whether it will work for the other menu links.

    Might try the jquery menu fader but keeping the form in the header and the rest of the info appear below, or have a drop down type menu that hold in the info for each section inside them.

    Ill keep you posted, but what do you think of the form?

    Hey cheers for the replies.

    I managed to tweek a few areas. I added a margin: -1px; to the main-content area to line it up with the header and footer links.

    The issue im having now is that i can not get the nav-on image to work. You know, if you’ve seen it yet, Chris’s new screencast where he shows how he made the links using sprites, exactly what he has on this site.

    Well i can not get my ‘on’ image to show i only get the ‘off’ and ‘rollover’ images to be working where as when the link is clicked i would like it to turn to the ‘on’ image.

    Hope this all made sense, anyways here is the link to the site:

    Just done what you suggested about using a png for the repeating image, but again the tiling is very weird, instead of being a seamless image its tiling and looks nasty

    please visit the below site for an example:

    Nice one Chris, ill try the png method for this. I should still be able to repeat the png without any trouble right? and then switch back to a jpg to close off the content are?
