oh sorry yes padding but that apply automatically i mean if one div is occupying 4 columns and next div also have 4 columns there should be automatic padding between them, but its not there ther are just stick net to each other.

no there is no bandwidth issue just need space for text, thats why hiding an image.but ofcurse loading is an issue any other way to do it with css? …

here is my code:
jquery only works in container div, but same thing is not working in container2 div.
if i use id or class of an element instead of button it did’nt work. how is it done with elements id or class instead of just using direct tag name like button here? i have 5 list items each with an ID when hover over each list item an image slides with it. its working perfectly fine but when i copy pasted this same list in the same page jquery does’nt work and the image dont move.
can u plz write a code pen? i would give a better idea.

what i mean to say is that much bottom padding is to resolve hight issue.is there any other way to set hight for responsive background images? plz a code pen would be helpfull for responsive background image.
