ParticipantOk, so this can’t be considered spam because I have no affiliation with AMC, other than the fact that I had a weekly appointment with them for all five seasons of Breaking Bad. Oh… and like three seasons of Mad Men.
This show looks really, really interesting to me:

And it starts in just a few weeks! June 1st. Is anyone else pumped about this?

ParticipantI gotta ask, is there AMC in the UK? Here in the states, AMC has been churning out the best shows on television for about 5 years as far as I’m concerned. This looks like it will be another awesome production. And… It’s about a subject I love!

ParticipantIf I’m being completely honest… British humor escapes me. I must just be a simpleton.

Participantthere’s more to it than meets the eye.
Hey dude, where can I send an invoice for one minute of my time? Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding. That was an interesting little tidbit from the bowels of pop culture.
Though… a bit like a David Lynch film. I’m left unsatisfied and confused.

ParticipantThis is how we roll Stateside (sitcoms that include a tribute concert to a dead Shetland pony):

Haha, try watching the whole thing.
Then try sitting through Magical Mystery Tour (I’m just kidding; don’t).

Nope…I’m really not a fan of UK TV offerings (with certain drama exceptions) so I generally watch US content a few hours after US broadcast…I’m sure it won’t tax your imagination to figure out how.
I find British humour [note the spelling :) ] much too low-brow these days, catering to the lowest common denominator).
The more intelligent US comedy offerings are a little to my taste…even though I’m well into my middle age.

That’s quite shocking to me actually. That’s not at all what I think of when I think of British humour.
I kind of feel that American comedy is becoming that way… ESPECIALLY in Hollywood. TV definitely has better stuff. Parks and Rec is hilarious to me… as is The Mindy Project (surprisingly). Both have awesome dialog and hilariously awkward interactions.
I think it’s mostly the really subtle cultural references that don’t appeal to me. Then again… why would they?

ParticipantSo I’ve watched the first four episodes of this show. It’s just OK…. in case any of you are wondering.
