WordPress image background shrinks

When i try to put a larger image 3000 * 900 image as the background image .WordPress automatically shrinks to a smaller image .

So how do i tell WordPress to not to shrink my images

Are you referring to the portion that currently has the NY skyline?

It looks like it’s heavily controlled by the slider scripts and will likely stretch anything to fit into its scope.

If you’re not talking about that one, please provide more details.
