I can’t get wordpress to recognize my custom templates.

I even hack the admin panel to have the page template option appear in my dashboard but my custom template doesn’t appear

the option does show up but there’s no template besides the regular one to choose from

I’ve uploaded the files to my theme folder, but nada.

    I figured it out,

somehow the theme wasn’t activate it, which is weird since it was on the live page… oh well

I know I’ve had that problem if, for whatever reason, you want to keep the CSS file out of the directory of the theme itself, WordPress won’t recognize the theme. You have to put a style.css file in there, even if it’s blank.
