WORDPRESS: Display a Featured Post on homepage?

I followed [this tutorial](http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/creative-coding/youtube-and-vimeo-video-gallery-with-wordpress/ “http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/creative-coding/youtube-and-vimeo-video-gallery-with-wordpress/”). Everything works fine I just wanted to add a Custom meta box that has a drop down to display a specific video as “Featured”.

I also found [this post on stack exchange](http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/9968/how-do-i-create-a-featured-post-within-a-custom-post-type “http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/9968/how-do-i-create-a-featured-post-within-a-custom-post-type”). But I am not a PHP type of person, so I am clueless on what to do.

Can some one please help me add the Featured Post meta box along with a piece of code to display the selected video inside of a page template?

I’d really appreciate all help!!

what the issue your having?
can you show us you have done so far, and where your problem is occurring?

because in your first sentence you say “I followed this tutorial. Everything works fine”!

I’m not having an issue with what is set up now. I just want to implement a “Sticky Post” feature and be able to display a video on the homepage,but I have no idea how.

Maybe these Plugins could help [featured-post](http://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-post/) & [featured-video](http://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-video/) i have yet to dig into WordPress so apologies for the little help i can offer.
