Can anybody post a bug request or start a discussion in forums?

I’ve been banned from WP forums for pointing out bugs, or trying to get other’s support for a change, or posting a solution in multiple open questions about the same wordpress not-admitted bug… but any comment that spills the beans adds up to get the banned status.

There’s no ticket about it, I’ve read someone saying the behavior is known, but still nobody has given an answer.

The post_name field is NOT updated/hard-coded in the DB when permalink setup is changed, but they are STILL required by canonical.php and every plugin is out there to build correct canonical links.

Only posts which were created AFTER pretty permalinks setup work fine, but a website which permalinks were as default will wrongly setup those pages’s permalinks when switched to pretty permalinks. Worst, the “ugly” permalinks are STILL the default, ensuring at least 1 page (about) will remain wrong after the change.

Anyone willing to track that down?

    Thanks.
