    I stumbled on this thread after searching to see if anyone has any functional examples of a jquery and css windows 95 site. I figured there would be a hilarious implementation out there but OPs link is broken. Is it still somewhere online?

    I tried to rescue it from archive.org

    I think I got all the code, but unfortunately none of the background images.

    The clock works though :)

    The version of jQuery it is written for might not work with codepen, but here is what I recovered:
