    How do you think what Windows is better for programming Windows 7 ar Windows 8 or 8.1?

    There is no effective difference for ‘web programming’.

    Why do you think it wouldn’t be?

    Windows 8 is just Windows 7 with a different skin/interface (basically)….the underlying core is basically the same.

    I use both and there is no effective difference.

    Paulie_D Thank you! I don’t like MetroUI because it was developed more for tablets, than for laptops and I’m not comfortable use it on desktop with mouse and keyboard. What do you think about this? What is your opinion?

    I have W8 but I also use Start8 from Stardock.com.

    It’s a small program that lets you get back the W7 desktop and Start button…I think it’s about $10
