Home › Forums › CSS › Why is there no :indeterminate in Almanac?
This pseudo-class has already been supported by many browsers.
@ChrisCoyier
FYI
I’ll make a note to get something up.
We do have a post on indeterminate checkboxes: https://css-tricks.com/indeterminate-checkboxes/
And browser support is here: http://caniuse.com/#feat=css-indeterminate-pseudo
I’d love to hear if anyone has real world use-cases for when they have (or would) use :indeterminate in CSS.
:indeterminate
I almost certainly wouldn’t do it in prod (which I guess is kinda your point) but you can do some form validation-ish stuff:

Doesn’t work in IE/Edge though.
