When Zurb released Foundation 4 they made a decision to go “Mobile First”. As far as i can tell the thing they changed was the order of the grid sizes. I stead of using the desktop grid as the default and the mobile grid in a media query they did it the other way around.

As far as i can tell the only result of this is that older browsers like IE8 would no longer be supported. Is this a case of just going for the buzzwords just for the hell of it or is there some idear behind this that i fail to see?

The answers i have gotten other places was that it was “progessive enhancement” and “You can allways use the preveious version”, but that is not the point. My point is that the only results i see from this is:

They can now call it “Mobile First”. It no longer works in IE8 and down.

So in best “Angry Walter” style: “Am i the only one here who doesn’t see the point!?”
