Home › Forums › CSS › Why Css-tricks.com has so many classes in the html tag element?
While using a lot of “inspect this element” and reading lots of tutorials and ideas on the responsive design area…I bumped into great responsive websites that had strangely one thing in common.
All of them had over 2 dozen of classes in the html tag. This approach has to do with responsive way of thinking or its irrelevant ?
Those classes are generated by modernizr. Modernizr checks whether certain CSS3/HTML5 features are supported by the browser and then adds the appropriate classes to the HTML tag.
oh good to know :-)
