I am trying to install a new Vanilla Forum at by blog.
By convention, it should be blog-domain.com/forum
But Vanilla further adds /discussion/ in URL for internal purposes, as you can see on this post URL and other forum posts URLs in CSS-Tricks Forum.
Workaround to have shorter URL’s is to have Vanilla Forum at sub-domain rather at sub-directory level. Then it would be like forum.blog-domain.com/discussion/
which URL is better for SEO, general audience usage and for UX?
