    I am looking for the post I saw b4 here, where Chris asked users to present ways of creating an “actions” menu or something similar. Ideas apart from that post will also be appreciated.

    In many web apps, there will be actions menu, eg. for CRUD. What’s a good way to present these actions while not cluttering the page/taking focus away from the main content. A few ideas

    – Show actions list only on hover of parent li
    – Dim down action links until hover of parent li
    – Click a link eg. “Actions …” to reveal list of actions with JS. Without JS, list will be shown

    But for those using hover, I learnt that thats not a good thing for touch devices
