    Hi guys,

This is really embarrassing as I am a web designer, but I have had a mobile friendly version of a website made for me. I have the files, but I don’t know where I should upload them for the site to work.

It’s a wordpress website, and I have been given a folder with the index.html, css folder, image folder etc… but I am not sure if I upload this to the root folder and overide the index.html. or if I go into the themes folder?

Do I also need to add any code to tell the website to access this when it displays on a mobile?

Sorry for the noob question and thanks in advance for any help on this!

    Thanks

I’m not really sure but I think you’ll gonna need to have a subdomain since it’s a separate version of your website.

For example, you have http://www.example.com as your main then you will need to create a subdomain, like http://m.example.com for your mobile site.

You then have to tinker about redirects so when someone views your site from a mobile device then they will be redirected to your subdomain.

I would ask the people who made the mobile site for you. They should know how it’s all structured and should be able to tell you where to place your files.
