What is this function?

I am looking for a javascript or php function of when a link (or item) is clicked, that a content box will appear with information that I have specified for it. I do not wish for this to be it’s own window or tab.Thanks

Something similar when you click on Pricing under Domains on https://www.digitalfyre.com

Except I would rather something with a white background and it wouldn’t necessarily need a scroll bar. It would be going on General Pests on http://www.brittanymclaughlin.net/new/ so when a user clicked one, it would pop up with more information.

That is called a modal box, but is more commonly referred to as a ‘lightbox’.

You’ll find numerous solutions if you search for ‘lightbox’!
