When I looked at the stats for a website that I will be replacing today, I noticed that there are several porn sites referring to it. Is this normal? The website is hosted by godaddy
Could you find any of your links on the pages of the referred pornographic sites?
If not, I would assume that someone is visiting the pornographic sites and then visiting your/client’s website.
I didn’t go to any of them, they were all Russian sites and I didn’t want to end up with a bunch of viruses.
According to the stats program these websites have links to the website I’m managing.
According to the stats program the porn sites are linking to the site I’m managing. The website is for a town in Illinois.
This is what the program says: The Referring Site Report identifies sites on the Internet that have links to pages on this site.
Hmm. I would probably google around and see if anyone else has had this issue.
