I’ve read about the new webkit gradient syntax, I think it’s
-webkit-linear-gradient
right?
Well what’s the huge difference between this and the old syntax? The only one I can see is the new one is simpler but other than that, natta… Is there something I’m missing? Would just like to know out of pure curiosity :-)
That has been the standard for webkit for a while now, it lines up with what the other browsers are using. You only need to use the old syntax if you want to support Safari 4 & 5 (5.1 uses the new syntax) or iOS 4 and below. Oh, and the old syntax is way more confusing than this method.
