Hi there!
I am currently a web design student, and I am wondering if there is a way to implement video as a background image for an HTML/CSS-based website?
I have searched the internet, and not found much, so maybe it isn’t doable. I have seen many working examples using Flash-based sites, but none with an HTML site. I am okay with using Flash for just the background, but the site itself needs to be HTML-based.
Here are some samples of the Flash-based sites that show what I am hoping to do with HTML.
Toyota Scion: http://www.scion.com/?gclid=CKvV3s-_u6ACFRlRagodi1w3TQ
The Douglass Apartments: http://www.zemez.com/wip/douglass/1/douglass_index.html
In these examples, the background is also resizable/scalable to fit the window, which I would also like to do, but it’s not absolutely necessary.
If anyone has any suggestions for this, please speak up! Thanks so much.
Hey dude, i found this, it’s only $7 (around £5)

Thanks, but that is totally Flash-based. I need HTML-based, meaning, background can be Flash, (or not), but content must be HTML.

Check the HTML5 spec. There’s a way to do it I think… Unfortunately, only Chrome supports it.
