    It’s running on Vanilla, soon to be bbPress, I believe.

    Just the fact you’re asking this question makes me believe you have no idea what’s possible with PHP. Moreover, [Vanilla is written in PHP](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanilla_(forum)).

    You can just say ‘Anything is possible.’ I may not know everything about PHP, but I do know that anything is not possible with PHP. Same with other languages.

    Lol @ “anything can’t be possible” debate.

    The question was answered. This forum is running Vanilla which uses PHP. So yes, building a forum with PHP is possible. You may also need MySQL.
