I have used to markup an address for a single business, but how would you handle it if the business had multiple locations with the same business name? I have just now run into that issue and I can’t find any documentation on it. The business has the same name for all 4 locations and on the website the 4 locations are all listed on the same page. Would you mark each one of them up as a local business or would that be confusing to applications using that data?

I would say you’re on the right track, because as the description on LocalBusiness explains, “A particular physical business or branch of an organization. Examples of LocalBusiness include a restaurant, a particular branch of a restaurant chain, a branch of a bank, a medical practice, a club, a bowling alley, etc.”

A branch of a chain is the same as a location, so the LocalBusiness schema is your starting point.
