FTP credentials for WordPress to connect to my local server.

I am using MAMP to design a site locally with WordPress. If I try to update WordPress or download plugins in I am directed to a page asking for the following information:

Connection Information
To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

I just have no idea where to find my correct settings. Hostname, FTP Username, FTP Password, Connection Type (FTP or FTPS)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I was able to use that link to find the method of adding define('FS_METHOD','direct'); to wp-confog.php. Worked Perfectly. Such a simple solution after fumbling around trying to figure out permissions for hours.
