I’m looking to create a joomla template that features two equal sized columns in the middle. Both of these columns will feature a certain module in order to make the website work. The navigation will probably be a thin horizontal nav, and the site will be simple. The two columns should take up the full width of the page, equally, with unlimited vertical space in order for stuff to get posted on there. I am very new to CSS and just cannot seem to find any perfect customization tools. Thanks for the help!

As a general guideline, you probably don’t want to target yourself as somebody that is ‘just looking for somebody else to do your work, for free’. You’ll find people are far less helpful when you are looking for the easy way out.

Oh no no, I don’t want anyone to do my work. I just want guidance on where to start and options on doing this, on an affordable level.

I take it you know HTML/CSS correct? In that case, what you’re looking for is a guide to creating a Joomla Template. Maybe this will help! Joomla Template Tutorial

As for how to make a two column page, this is the basic code you need.

    Two Column Page

    Left

    Right

That should get you started in the right direction. Good luck!
