Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with designing a website for large TV’s?
Whether it’s a separate site, or simply a “tv” breakpoint in a RWD template.
Thanks.
Not hard at all. It’s way easier to make things big than to make them small IMO.
Keep in mind that, generally speaking, even “large” TVs are only mid-sized monitors.
1080p televisions can easily be in the 40″ – 50″ range, while for monitors it’s usually 17″ – maybe 30″ max. Hey, my 7″ tablet is 1080p.
OK…
So, anyone ever created a website for a TV yet? For instance, using the TV remove to use the buttons, no scrolling etc..
I’d like to see some examples, thanks.
Look at any UI on a console or Smart TV.
The important part is to realize your audience is 10″ feet away from the screen so text and inputs need to be adjusted accordingly.
Also, what input type are you planning for? Mouse/keyboard or controller or ..?
I’m looking for developers who have made TV websites before and to link them. I’m not asking about how to create one, I’m not a developer.
Thanks.
For instance, using the TV remove to use the buttons, no scrolling etc..
That’s a whole other kettle of fish my man.
So, any developer here made any examples to link?
Thanks.
Seems not…I think you have the wrong audience for your questions here.
