I’m building this demo/practice site that’s a redesign of a favorite comedian’s site–just for kicks–and part of it involves a page of several dozen mp3 files. The current set up is just a 3 column list of each file, a download button, and a dedicated player. I want to do a version where it’s like an itunes/media player set up; with a scrollable list of all the mp3 files, you select one, and then you play it in the main player.
I’m not sure but I’m betting I’d need some kind of flash app for this, since I’d want it to work in all desktop browsers.
So, anyone know what I can do to achieve this?
I’m not going to say that I’m anti-Flash, but I try to avoid it at all costs.
Check this jQuery plugin out:
I have nothing against flash; it’s a pretty good platform, just not for an entire site; games and other higly interactive/animated applications are fine by me.
This looks perfect, I’ll give it a try tonight after work. Thanks.
Yeah, I too have to check for this,, this may be going good ahead,,
