Total beginner

    I am suppose to learn JS. There is a plethora of help out there. I don’t know what would be best approach: need a book for complete beginner. Maybe screen cast recommendations.
    I must have some knowledge under my belt before September 5

    Go to codecademy.com and take the course. Then read JavaScript: The good parts.
