Timer count down and redirect when time is out

Ello,
I am totally new to coding in general..but what I would like to do for a fun project is create an auto start timer that counts down when a link is clicked and when time runs out, have the user redirected to a landing page.

Any ideas?

I have lots of ideas. But in regards to you question.. which language do you want to create the timer in? JavaScript, PHP, Actionscript.. etc..?

Once you’ve decided that why don’t you have a crack at how you think it might work, and then I/we can help you along as you learn! Fun for all!

Thanks Johnnyb! That is mighty nice of you! I would like to write it in PHP I think..just because I’d like to start learning that. I hear it is pretty simple to get the hang of.

I will do my best mockup and present it :) Let’s see what I can figure out!
