This thread inspired me to write a blog post! http://code.graygilmore.com/blog/wordpress-why-you-gotta-be-so-confusing

    re: @TheDoc >> “…a blog post!”

Yup. Just read it and commented. Great Article. Another unique WP “rabbit hole” to explore. Kudos.

Believe me neighbor, I know I have to “walk my own dogs”, only way to learn. My initial issue was with the training materials suggesting or outright claiming “Theme Development from Scratch” and in chapter one, stating “were gonna build a site using my (new-fangled, high-fallootin’) [x]-Theme.

…and while this dead horse has now been aptly beaten, the point was “That ain’t scratch”.

The comments by others in this thread have provided compelling arguments about how difficult “theme from (real) scratch training” would be to pull-off. I assume are correct.

So… why say it? Just give it to me straight. No Yeast.

    peace.
