    hi,

    totally new to this issue

    what is the difference between

    SUBDOMAIN
    http://bfh.krsiak.cz

    +

    FOLDER
    http://krsiak.cz/bfh

does server see it as 2 separate addresses or it does not matter?

Well your sub domain can point to any folder or location. A folder address just points to that folder. So http://bfh.krsiak.cz could point to http://krsiak.cz/video for example.

A sub domain is exactly that, a domain in it’s own right. A folder address is an address, not a domain.

I prefer to use a subdomain as it enables me to properly use relative paths when linking to other files on the server. Much easier if eventually moving the site to its own domain.
