Hey guys,
As you can see I’m a noob. If I mess up at something – don’t chuck me out straight away, lol :s
I recently wrote a blog post about 10 really ugly website designs. I don’t know what else to include and a friend recommended that I can ask here.
The URL is http://www.velutinous.com/2011/06/honey-i-screwed-up-at-web-design/
I would appreciate all feedback and support.
Thanks!
Instead of saying “this is horrific” you should be explaining why something doesn’t work.
Aha, that’s true because there are various reasons why I hate them. Thanks Doc.
Any suggestions on any other sites that are horrific tho? :P
i recommend you should look at writing unique copy, i’ve seen all those sites before and saying they are awful is nothing knew, as The Doc says explain why it is bad, maybe include it’s w3c validation test results… comment on how old the website is… when was it last updated.. really give it some critique…
Right, I see what you mean. Other people have done similar posts before and I ought to rise above conventional articles by being more informative in my approach.
Superb advice so far guys! Thanks a dozen.
If it were me writing this article, I would take time to make a mockup of each as suggestions to differentiate from other blog posts. I would limit to 5 of the worst to save on workload.
Blog title: “Extreme Web Makeover”
Now, here’s where I think I should’ve asked this question before even writing this article. Your feedback is awesome guys, really learning here.
Guys, I changed it the way you advised.
Thanks times a million!
