Hello everyone.
I have recently learnt of BEM and I am trying to implement it on a new site I am building.
For the site, I wish to use CSS Grids and Flex. No Bootstrap.
I am struggling with the naming of the classes. I have read the CSS Tricks article on the subject, but I still couldn’t understand how I would go about adding paddings and margins.
I have made this CodePen so that you can see where I am at.

I think what I am doing now is the wrong way of doing BEM, perhaps it isn’t even BEM. What am I doing wrong? And how do I handle padding and margins?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
