Stop Search Engines

Hi, I have a folder in the root of my site that i dont want search engines to access to other people. The folder itself does not have any pages in, just more folders which then have pages in.

So what’s the best way to disallow access to this folder? I don’t want to one day see these pages listed on google for instance.
