Hey guys… Would it be really dumb to use some modified WordPress themes to start a portfolio, both free and paid from Woothemes, Elegant Themes and stuff like that?
As I develop my skills more I would replace those with my own work, but until then would it be ok?
I’m not sure it’s the best idea. What are you trying to showcase? design skills? coding skills? both?
Hi… Just wanting to sell somes basic, simple sites. Not so much for showcasing anything.
I would make something unique if I were you using something like underscores as a base theme.
Start with your own. I think it’s better. And a “+” for you as well.
