You get what you pay for in life, and web hosting is no different. I had an account with 000webhost to mess around with before I chose to buy a shared hosting account from someone else. It had a lot of down time in more ways than one. The database would be down, or the main server, and many times it would go down when I was using ftp. I would only recommend it for hosting a "just for fun" site, not something that you are actually going to get traffic on.

    1. Take an old computer
    2. Install LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl)
    3. Remotely administer it
    4. Host all your files from there
    5. …
    6. …
    7. Profit!

    Best free website evar.
