    Hi everyone,
I’m currently researching SSL, but something that confuses me is if I need to code anything special in my PHP for data to be encrypted or if just having SSL certificate installed on the server is all i need.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

You don’t need to do anything extra once you have an SSL certificate installed on your server, the only thing you need to do is either force or visit the page using HTTPS instead of HTTP and the browser will do the rest to send the information to the server as encrypted information.

thanks SgtLengend. A client has requested I get their website set up with SSL which i’ve never done before so just wanted to know what was involved before I said I could do it.
