I’ve got an annoying bug in IE8 (compatibility mode off) where part of the menu is pushed down about 35 pixels. It goes away in compatibility mode and isn’t present in FF3.5x. I have yet to test in Chrome/Safari.

Anyone able to get a fresh set of eyes on the code for me?

Instead of display:inline, just try floating all of the li’s to the left, and removed that 80px margin. See what IE does then.

Fixed. Thanks for that. I would have stared at that for hours and not seen it.
