Sidebar same height/length as main content area

  • # April 30, 2008 at 1:59 am

this has always annoyed me but at my last job we did a bunch of single page shotgun style sites where i was able to just apply a height value or extra margin.. something to make my sidebar extend to the bottom but im currently redesigning my personal site and i want the sidebar to be the same length as the main content area.

    whos got a fix?

    thank ya!

I didn’t test it, but isn’t it that you just put the content and the sidebar in another div what will be as height as the content div and then set the sidebar height to 100%?

I just noticed chris has done a screen cast for this aswell. It’s well worth a look.
