Show info based on visitor location

I’ve been asked to show a paragraph on one page with some text applicable to visitors from California only. If they are from anywhere else, don’t show that info. It’s the first time I received such a request and have no clue how to go about it. Thanks for your help or pointing me in a right direction.

I believe the only way to do this is to have user consent to sharing their location, otherwise any other method would not be as efficient. If you try location by IP, you might be getting the location of ISP instead of the actual user.
