Hello,
I have portfolio/CV website. I wanted to make small changes, for example add twitter and github feed, but than I thought a bit, and I had a quetion. Is it a good practice to add twitter and github feeds to CV/portfolio or its too much?
Thanks.
Twitter is a little tricky – it depends. Ask yourself if, during an interview, you would be okay with the interviewer browsing through your twitter feed. If you’re okay with that, I suppose it would be fine to add it.
Github is a great promotional tool and can show off your skills. Just make sure you keep things up to date.
There is an unofficial Github badge plugin you can add to your site. I have it on my blog and it uses the Github API to keep up to date. I like it.
I’m not a huge fan of twitter, so personally I wouldn’t include it… anyway you don’t want your potential employer reading about how you got really drunk last night ;)
Edit: Oh and in your English translation, under Additional, you spelled “freimwork” wrong. Unless that’s a CodeIgniter brand I don’t know about. :P
Mottie thanks for finding typos, I’m from Latvia, so English isn’t my native language.
P.S. Thanks for badge, looks great.
You English is much better than my Latvian :) and you’re welcome!
