    I have a WP website, in which “selected text highlighting”(background:blue) retains after text deselected by selecting some other text.
    what could be the reason?

    You might want to change your Profile name as your email address is now out in the wild.

    As for your specific issue, we’d probably need to see a live site as there could be any number of reasons.
