I am working on a website for my work and luckily (sarcasm) we use IE8 throughout the hospital. This is the only browser this is happening to.

I am building a decision tree website where their is basically a flowchart and you click on each step to watch a video and figure out information about that step. On the left hand side I rotated the text 270 degrees so it is vertical. I have the column width set to 40px. This is cutting off the text at 40px and won’t show the rest of the letters.

    The example is at http://nickmoyer.net/RHS_PubMed/

Thanks for any help that you can give me.

This is a hack but give it float: left; for IE8 and atleast all of the text will be displayed.

You can also give it a non-percentage width, but that will expand the size of the rotated text further down instead of centering it to the middle of the cell.
