Ripped background effect & Portfolio name’s.

I was looking at portfolio websites and came across a style that I like, more specifically the ‘ripped’ / ‘corrugated’ style effect that is present on the background a number of times. This got me wondering, what is the best way to create this effect?

Also I was wondering about my portfolio name, I was planning to use _www.myname.com_ / co.uk however both are taken, I can use the _.net_ domain but I’m not sure whether or not I Like it, What do you guys think of It or do you have any better suggestions for a name?

I agree with @ChrisP. My name is taken with the .com extension so I went with a .me which is becoming quite “popular”.
